Once upon a time, there were three little pigs who decided to leave their mother's house to build homes of their own. The first pig was lazy and built his house out of straw. It was quick and easy but not very strong.
The second pig worked a bit harder and constructed his home from sticks. While it stood better than the straw house, it wasn’t sturdy enough to last long.
The third pig was the smartest and most hardworking. He gathered bricks and mortar to build a solid brick house. Though it took him much longer, his home was strong and safe.
One day, a big bad wolf came along. He blew down the straw house easily, sending the first pig running to his brother’s stick house. Next, he tried blowing that one down too, but it didn’t fall as quickly. Finally, he approached the brick house, huffed and puffed, but could not blow it down.
Frustrated, the wolf gave up and ran away. The three pigs lived happily ever after in their secure brick house.
This simple tale teaches us the value of hard work and planning ahead.
